Dorothy Vickers, age 91, of Wray, GA passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Vickers was born on April 23, 1924, in Douglas, GA to the late Elmer Smith and Lelia Vickers Smith.

Survivors include: her son, Jimmy (Peggy) Vickers; three grandchildren, Clay (Rebecca) Vickers, Shannon (Mindy) Vickers, and Dawn, (Jay) Blanchett; four step grandchildren, Brad Mobley, Cliff (April) Mobley, Norman (Kim) Taylor, and Laura (Henry) Brown; twelve great grandchildren, Justin Vickers, Bo Vickers, Kailyn Burton, Cam Vickers, Emory Taylor, Emily Vickers, Chase Mobley, Blake Blanchett, Courtney Mobley, Landon Blanchett, Braden Mobley, and Quin Brown; daughter-in-law, Kay Vickers; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Arthur Vickers; son, Vicky Lamar Vickers; three brothers and two sisters, Vickers Smith, Harvey Smith, H.D. Smith, Jean Vickers, and Waunell Spivey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Union Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Smith and Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Union Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
