Mr. Scott Appleby Roberts, age 74, of Douglas passed away Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Genesis Health Care Center, in Hazlehurst, following an extended illness. He was born May 18, 1941, to the late Albert Jackson “Jack” Roberts and the late Linnie Evelyn Yawn Roberts.

Survivors include: His Wife: Joyce Sellers Roberts of Douglas, Ga.; 1 Son: Sonny (Sue Ellen) Roberts of Colorado Springs, Colorado.; 2 Grandchildren: Scott Appleby “Tripp” Roberts, III, and Rileigh Elise Roberts, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado;. 2 Sisters: Jackie Phillips of Norfolk, Virginia, and Anna Miele of Midlothian, Virginia. A Host of Friends and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Monday, July 27, 2015, at 11:00 A. M., at the Southview Church of God, with the Interment to follow in the Douglas City Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Sunday evening (Sunday) from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home. Mr. Roberts will be placed in the Church, Monday morning at 10:00 A. M., to lie in state, until the Funeral Hour. Flowers and Donations will be appreciated.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
