Satilla Library System offers numerous opportunities for kids in August

Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of August for children, tweens, and teens.

For more information about upcoming youth programs, please call Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222.

Ongoing Event

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years

Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio. Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the month of August. Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations.

Story and Craft Program at all locations every week

Douglas: Monday, August 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 3:30 p.m.
Broxton: Tuesday, August 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 3:30 p.m.
Ambrose: Tuesday, August 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 4:45 p.m.
Pearson: Wednesday, August 12, 19, and 26 at 3:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Wednesday, August 12, 19, and 26 at 4:45 p.m.
Nicholls: Thursday, August 13, 20, and 27 at 3:30 p.m.

Family Saturday Movie in Douglas

Come and enjoy a family movie on our new wide screen television with your family in the large meeting room in Douglas. Popcorn and beverages will be served.

Douglas: Saturday, August 1 and 15 at 12:00 p.m.

Kids Choice Movies

Come and vote on a movie of choice, popcorn and beverages will be served.

Pearson: Saturday, August 1 and 29 at 12:30 p.m.
Friday, August 7 and 21 at 4:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 12:30 p.m.
Friday, August 14 and 28 at 4:30 p.m.

TEEN EVENTS

Teen Advisory Board Meeting at the Douglas-Coffee County Public Library
Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.   
Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to help plan young adult programming  for the fall and holidays, help order young adult books for the library’s collection, play teen games, and lots of fun. Refreshments will be served.

Teen Choice Movie

Vote on a teen movie of choice to watch, popcorn and beverages will be served.

Teen Wii Gaming
