Lamar “Marty” Martin, age 64, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Martin was born on March 25, 1951, in Ft. Riley, KS to the late Clinton Martin and Katie O’Neal Martin.
Survivors include: his three daughters, Amanda Martin of Nicholls, GA, Brenda Martin Francis of Jacksonville, GA, and Masona Kay Smith of Memphis, TN; son, Jason Martin of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Harvey (Tammy) Martin of Martinez, GA and Dennis Martin of Frederick, MD; two sisters, Catherine Sean (Dwight) Evans of Blakely, GA and Wanda Martin of Frederick, MD; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives, Debbie and Joyce Luke Martin; parents, Cecil and Katie O’Neal Cliett; and two brothers, Lloyd Martin, Jr. and Jerry Martin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Jones officiating. Interment will follow at St. Luke’s Church Cemetery.
