Mrs. Barbara Kirkland Anderson, age 76, of Douglas passed away suddenly Monday morning, August 10, 2015, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born September 30, 1938 to the late David Kirkland, Jr. and the late Ann Jane Ricketson Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her husband Ottis “Pops” Anderson.
Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Mollie Rene Harper, and Marsha Elaine (Michael) Grantham, all of Douglas, Ga.; 2 Sons: Timothy David (Melinda) Anderson of Nicholls, Ga., and Donald Ivan (Angela) Anderson of Brunswick, Ga.; 1 Sister: Geneva K. Sears of Willacoochee, Ga.; 8 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015, at 11:00 A. M., at the Chatterton Grove Holiness Baptist Church, with the Interment to follow in the Chatterton Grove Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home.
