Mrs. Ruth Carolyn Harper Bray, age 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Coffee Regional Medical Center, Douglas, GA, following an extended illness. Mrs. Bray was born on October 1, 1937 in Douglas, GA to the late Alvin Harper and Aresa Mae Wright Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard R. “Jack” Bray.

She is survived by her three daughters: Gay (Kenneth) McGovern of Douglas, GA, Sandy (Richael) Dockery of Ambrose, GA and Kim (Brent) Hatcher of Douglas, GA; six grandchildren: Brann (Melissa) Dockery of Ambrose, GA, Lee McGovern of Douglas, GA, Logan(Tori) McGovern of Douglas, GA, Jared Buchan of Thomasville, GA, Easton Hatcher of Douglas, GA and Jordan Buchan of Douglas, GA; Five great grandchildren: Skyler Buchan, Braydon Dockery, Branson Dockery, Liam McGovern and Lilly McGovern.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
