Mr. Buford “Gooney” Andrews, age 73, of the Pridgen Community, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2015, at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA following a short illness. He was born July 22, 1943 to the late Thomas Harry Andrews, Sr. and the late Hazel Solomon Andrews.
Survivors include: His Wife: Joanne Worth Andrews of Broxton, GA 4 Children: George Thomas Andrews and special friend Wendy of Denton, GA, Kevin (Christy) Wise and B. J. (Becky) Kight of West Green, GA, Herman (Chrissy) Kight, Jr. of Broxton, GA; 2 Brothers: Harry Andrews of West Green, GA and Wayne Andrews of Broxton, GA; 1 Aunt: Addie Courson of Broxton, GA; 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Other Relatives
Funeral Services will be Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Pridgen Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Hart and Rev. Justin Moriarty officiating. Interment will follow in the Pridgen Cemetery. Mr. Andrews will be placed in the church at 2:00 P. M. Sunday to lie in state until the funeral hour. The family will begin receiving friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P. M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
