Ms. Betty Carolyn Claxton Johnson, age 78, of Douglas passed away Saturday morning, October 3, 2015 at her residence, following a brief illness. She was born January 24, 1937 to the late William Terrell Solomon and the late Mary Corene Buchan Solomon.
Survivors include: 5 Sons: James Edward Claxton, James Aaron Claxton, James David Claxton, James William Claxton, and James Larry Claxton, all of Douglas, Ga. 2 Daughters: Helen Haggard of Fitzgerald, Ga. and Jo Ann Claxton Anderson of Douglas, Ga. 1 Sister: Geraldine Mixon of Florida. 8 Grandchildren, and 16 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.
Funeral Services will be Monday, at 11:00 A. M., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, with the Interment to follow in the Broxton City Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P. M., at Ricketson Funeral Home.
