Virginia Tanner, age 93, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Shady Acres Health and Rehab following an extended illness. Mrs. Tanner was born on October 2, 1922, in Douglas, GA to the late Mitchell Lewis and Victoria Kight Lewis.
Survivors include: her son, Glenn (Diane) Tanner of Nicholls, GA; daughter, Gail Davis of Nicholls, GA; two sisters, Velma Gibby of Atlanta, GA and Vonice Arnett of Birmingham, AL; brother, John Howard Lewis of Corpus Christie, TX; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tanner.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Meeks Cemetery with Rev. Herbert Box, Dr. Greg Tanner, and Rev. Tim Tanner officiating.
