The City of Douglas and ESG Operations are joining the Satilla Riverkeeper and friends for a Rivers Alive cleanup on Saturday, November 14, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Westside Creek, located at 305 West Ward St.  Citizens are invited to participate in the creek cleanup.

The Satilla River cleanup is being held in several communities in South Georgia in support of the Rivers Alive program, Georgia’s annual volunteer waterway cleanup event that targets all waterways in the state including streams, rivers, lakes, beaches and wetlands. The mission of Rivers Alive is to create awareness of and involvement in the preservation of Georgia’s water resources.
