At Westside Elementary, perfect attendance is highly celebrated. Not only do we reward students with monthly perfect attendance, but we also reward two lucky students who have had perfect attendance each nine weeks.

During our nine week’s celebration assemblies, a name of a student who has had perfect attendance for the nine weeks is drawn in grades K-2 and in 3-5 for a special prize. One lucky student in grades K-2 wins a bicycle donated by local community members, and one lucky student in grades 3-5 wins an iPod donated by Wendy’s Restaurant.

Our first celebration assembly was held on October 16, and Westside congratulates Ja’Veon Morton Russell in 1st grade, who won the bicycle, and Caitlin McAboy in 5th grade, who won the iPod.

We are proud of them and all our students who strive for perfect attendance! Way to Go Wildcats, and a special thanks goes to Mr. Dewey Hayes for donating the bicycle for this giveaway.
