Mrs. Lois Rozar Spivey Strickland, age 84, of Douglas passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, Nov. 3, 2015, at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born March 30, 1931 to the late Louie Rozar and the late Bonner Elizabeth Hampton Rozar. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands Charlie Spivey and Michael Hoke “Pete” Strickland; a son, Danny Spivey and a sister, Doris Elizabeth Rozar Ricketson.

Survivors include: Children: James Charles “Jimmy” (Jenny) Spivey; Danny Ashley (Lucretia) Strickland; Michael C. (Barbara) Strickland; and Joseph Van (Rose) Strickland all of Douglas, GA; 1 Daughter-In-Law: Sarolyn Spivey of Broxton, GA; 1 Brother: Bobby C. (Jo Ann) Rozar of Douglas, Ga.; 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Other Relatives.

Funeral Services will be Friday, November 6, 2015, at 4:00 P. M., at the Rocky Pond Baptist Church, with the Interment to follow in the Rocky Pond Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P, M. at Ricketson Funeral Home. Mrs. Strickland will be placed in the Church, Friday, at 3:00 P. M., to lie in state, until the funeral hour.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
