Miss Carolyn Lane Griffin, age 57, of Douglas, GA, formerly of Deland, FL, passed away Thursday evening, November 5, 2015 at the Coffee Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. Ms. Griffin was born, October 11, 1958 to the late Fulmer Franklin Griffin and Bernice L. Griffin.

Miss Griffin was a Christian member of the Victory Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. Lane enjoyed meeting and talking with people. She was kind-hearted to those in need, of which she took time to care for her elderly friends. Lane enjoyed traveling by yacht for the big bill fishing or just enjoying the beautiful seas. She was also creative. Presently she had been attending Palm Beach College when she became ill. She had been Self-Employed as a Real Estate Appraiser for many years.

Survivors include: Her Mother: Bernice Lane Griffin of Douglas, GA; 2 Brothers: F. Franklin (Jane) Griffin of Gallatin, TN, Thomas Craig (Mary Ann) Griffin of Douglas, GA; 1 Sister: Anna Margaret Griffin of Deland, FL; Special Friend: Bobby Fritsch; Devoted Dog: Carly; 4 Nephews: Pete Walker, Mathew Walker, Aaron Walker, and F. Franklin Griffin, III; 2 Nieces: Anna Rebekah Sarah Lane Griffin and Katharine Allegra Samantha Jane Griffin.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
