The Childhood Cancer Awareness Group of Coffee County will be hosting its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Tuesday, November 17, at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Coffee County Courthouse.
Childhood cancer families will be asked to place a butterfly on the tree to symbolize their child’s status at that time. Gold butterflies are for hope, and blue butterflies symbolize a child currently in treatment. Silver butterflies represent childhood cancer survivors, and white butterflies symbolize our angels who passed away from their childhood cancer diagnosis.
Musical entertainment will be provided.
