Mr. Brian Bice, age 36 of Douglas, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at home following an extended illness. Mr. Bice was born June 27, 1979, at Newport News, Virginia, to Jerry William Bice and Beverly Ann Alex Bice. He was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity at Georgia Southwestern University.
Survivors include his wife: Amanda Bice, Douglas, GA; two daughters: Kaylee Bice and Kallie Bice, Douglas, GA;one son Conner Bice of Douglas, GA; Parents; Jerry and Beverly Bice of Douglas, GA; Two half sisters: Paula Sogard of Minnesota and Brenda Bice of Michigan; two nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windship Cancer Institute at Emory University,1365 Clifton Rd. NE Atlanta, GA 30322 or Lewis Cancer & Research Center, St. Joseph Chandler Hospital, 225 Candler Dr., Savannah, GA 31405.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.
Mr. Bice will lie in state at First Baptist Church on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Shep Johnson and John Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.
