The turkey is history and Black Friday is well done. Now it’s time to do something fun with your little ones.

The 3rd Annual Santa’s North Pole Plaza opens this coming Saturday at Atkinson Plaza (across from the courthouse) in beautiful downtown Douglas. The gate opens at 11 a.m., and eight different stations with crafts await little hands this year. There will be cookies and hot chocolate with Mrs. Claus, they can visit with Elsa and Anna, The Grinch, Max, and Cindy Lou Who, and Thing 1 and Thing 2, and finally they can tell Santa just what is on their mind. Oh, and to help him out, both the boy Elf on the Shelf will be here, as well as the girl Elf on the Shelf.

The cost for all is $13 for children ages 4 and up. Don’t have time for it all? How about a picture with Santa? For $7, your child can decorate a mat and we will mount it in a protective sleeve for you. Then take some time to do a little downtown shopping while you wait for the famous Festival of Lights Christmas Parade.

Share the fun and share the word!
