Maye Belle Vining, age 81, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Vining was born on June 22, 1934, in Tallahassee, FL to the late Eugene Minshew and Martha Lee Griffis Minshew.

Survivors include: her five daughters, Maxine Grantham of Douglas, GA, Delorise Pittman of Nicholls, GA, Donna Merritt of Broxton, GA, Elma Solomon of Rhine, GA and Alma Soles of Willacoochee, GA; son, Carl Pittman of Nicholls, GA; three brothers, Eugene Minshew of Macclenny, FL, Charlie Minshew of Pridgen, GA and Arthur Minshew of Pridgen, GA; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Vining; three sons, James William Pittman, Russell Pittman, and Robert Pittman; a sister, Martha Jean Ziegler; brother, John Minshew; and one granddaughter, Letha Jean Bowen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
