James Bobby Taylor, age 72, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Crisp Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Taylor was born on April 3, 1943, in Nicholls, GA to the late Elvin Lee Taylor and Mildred Allie Melton Taylor. Mr. Taylor served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include: his five sons, Michael (Clara Sue) Taylor of Douglas, GA, Tommy Taylor of Albany, GA, Bryan (Roxie) Taylor of Douglas, GA, Bruce (Glenda) Taylor of Douglas, GA, and Timothy (Dawn) Taylor of Douglas, GA; two daughters, Tammy Taylor of Douglas, GA and Teresa Yarberry of Tallahassee, FL; two brothers, Denny Taylor of Denton, GA and Billy Taylor of Douglas, GA; three sisters, Pam Wells of Douglas, GA, Debra Carter of Douglas, GA and Gail White of Nicholls, GA; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lou Cothern Taylor; son, Craig Anthony Taylor; brother, Roy Lee Taylor; and two sisters, Susie Kinsey and Ann Tanner.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Worship Center with Rev. Victor Gilbert and Rev. Brandon Burnam officiating. Interment followed at Douglas Cemetery.
