Larry Spires, Sr., age 72, of Macon, GA passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Spires was born on November 20, 1943, in Ambrose, GA to the late James Riley Spires and Addie Ruth Sayer Spires.
Survivors include: his two sons, Randy (Cristy) Spires of Macon, GA and Larry (Brenda) Spires, Jr of Macon, GA; brother, Jerome Spires of Plains, GA; two sisters, Geraldine Stone of Macon, GA and Linda Hollis of Macon, GA; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Jo Clements Spires; two sons, Joey Spires and Andy Spires; a brother, Paul Spires; and a sister, Georgia Mobley.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Deberry Church Cemetery with Rev. Franklin Ethridge officiating.
