Jeannine Nahra Dovers, age 82 of Douglas passed away Sunday, December 13, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Dovers was born October 23, 1933, in Douglas to the late Jim Nahara and Mae Courie Nahara. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and retired with 30 years of service from Coffee County Board of Education. Mrs. Dovers also tutored for 20 years.

Survivors include her son, Artie Dovers of Douglas; daughter, Jeanmarie Dovers of Douglas; grandson, Arthur James “A.J.” (Amber) Dovers of Douglas; granddaughter, Emilee Ashton Dovers of Broxton; great grandson, Kanler James Dovers of Douglas, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Dovers, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 16, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Church with Father Paul O’Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
