Robert Sayer, age 80, of Wray, GA passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015, at Dorminy Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Sayer was born on August 5, 1935, in Douglas, GA to James Bynum Sayer and Annie Carver Sayer.
Survivors include: his daughter: Rose (Carlton) Dorminey of Ambrose, GA; brother: Jimmy Sayer of Ambrose, GA; two sisters: Louise S. Dowling of Douglas, GA and Elrea S. McDonald of Fitzgerald, GA; four: grandchildren, Jeremy (Lindsey) Dorminey, Joshua (Amber) Dorminey, Jacob Sayer and Elijah Sayer all of Ambrose, GA; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Sayer and a son, Michael Sayer.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Deberry Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Dean, Rev. Jeremy Cox and Pastor Gregory Pope officiating. Interment will follow at Deberry Church Cemetery.
