Mr. Michael Brannen Jowers, age 38, of Ambrose passed away suddenly at his home, Saturday evening, December 19, 2015. He was born October 15, 1977 in Douglas, GA to Mickey Jowers and Jenny Royal Jowers. Mr. Jowers, a native of Coffee County, was a Brick and Stone Mason by trade. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Milton Eugene Royal and a paternal grandfather, Newton “Newt” Jowers, a paternal grandmother, Bura Carver Jowers and one uncle, Terry Don Royal. Mr. Jowers attended the Wray Holiness Baptist Church.
Survivors include: His Wife: Tonya Underhill Jowers of Ambrose, GA; 1 Step-Son: Justin Russ of Ambrose, GA; 1 Step-Daughter: Tara Williams of Ambrose, GA; Father: Mickey Jowers of Ambrose, Ga.; Mother: Jenny Royal Jowers of Ambrose, GA; 2 Sisters: Stormy (Shawn) Merritt of Ambrose, Ga., and Janna Williams of Douglas, Ga.; 1 Brother: Chance Jowers of Douglas, Ga.; His Maternal Grandmother: Johnnie Royal of Ambrose, Ga.; Nieces and Nephews: Tanner Farmer, currently stationed at Jacksonville, NC. Laine Farmer of Waycross, GA, Slade Rosell and Logan Newhart both of Ambrose, GA; Lifetime Friends: Tee Vickers, Shannon Harper, Daniel Highsmith, Stephen “Chico” Steptoe, Jason Sweat, Trey Adams, Jason Fender, Chris Willis, Scotty Anderson and Ben Day.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at 11:00 A. M., at the Wray Holiness Baptist Church, with Rev. Steve Willingham and Rev. Ferrell Harper officiating. The Interment to follow in the Wray Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Tee Vickers, Trey Adams, Jason Sweat, Shannon Harper, Stephen “Chico” Steptoe, Daniel Highsmith, Scotty Anderson and Ben Day. Honorary Pallbearers are: Chad Royal, Jason Anderson, Grant Royal, John Jowers, Chris Willis, Jason Fender, and Laine Farmer. A Special Musical Selection, “Heaven Was Needing A Hero,” by Jo Dee Messina will be presented by CD Music. The Family will begin receiving friends for Visitation on Tuesday Evening, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
