Law enforcement reports recent local drug arrests

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release Wednesday in regards to the arrests of four individuals on varying drug charges:

“On Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:45 a.m., the Nicholls Police Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a probation search at 501 Sessoms Street in Nichols. The male that lives there is on felony probation and was identified as James White. White had under his mattress two different types of schedule four pills and will be charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts.

Later on the same day at 12:45 p.m., the Georgia State Patrol and the Douglas-Coffee County Heat Unit made a traffic stop on McNeal Drive and Peterson Ave. for subject not wearing seatbelt. The male was identified to be Raymond Cato. Cato will be charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Later on the same day at 1:45 p.m., the Douglas-Coffee County Heat Unit conducted a traffic stop for an improper lanne change on Peterson Ave. The subject was identified to be Allen Wayne Brown of Pearson. During the search of the vehicle, three bags of meth were found, and Brown had a loaded Savage rifle in his possession. Brown will be charged with possession of meth with intent and possession of a firearm by convicted felony.

Later on the same day at 4 p.m., the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessie Floyd on Ocmulgee Street in Broxton. Floyd was arrested on outstanding warrants. Due to the arrest, a small amount of methamphetamine was located on his person. Floyd will be charged with possession of meth.”
