Rex Matthew Holcomb, age 48, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Emory University Hospital in Decatur, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Holcomb was born on May 27, 1967 in Rome, GA to Reba Rosser Holcomb Howell and the late Franklin Moore Holcomb.
Survivors include: two daughters: Rebecca Holcomb of Douglas, GA and Megan Medellin of Forest Park, GA; two sons: Alvin Curt Holcomb and Daniel Thomas Holcomb both of Douglas, GA; Significant other: Vicky Kitchens of Douglas, GA; Grandchildren: Nathan Wooten, Kolt Wooten, Addilynn Holcomb and Ashlynn Holcomb; Mother: Reba Howell and step-father Larry Howell of Lindale, GA; Brother: Lee Holcomb of Cave Springs, GA and IKey Stattersfield; Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA. Interment will follow on January 2, 2016 at 3:30 PM in the Wax Community Cemetery in Wax, GA.
