William Shane Bowen, age 33, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015, following a short illness. Mr. Bowen was born on September 1, 1982, in Douglas, GA to Peggy Katrece Cato Duel and the late Randal Bowen.
Survivors include: his daughter, Mahaley Bowen of Douglas, GA; son Caden Tawater of Lukewood, WA; mother, Peggy Katrece Cato (Lawrence) Duel of Douglas, GA; brother, Kyle Bowen of Douglas, GA; sister, Scotti Bowen of Atlanta, NY; half sister, Kristi Bowen of Hazlehurst, GA; grandparents, Raymond and Peggy Cato of Douglas, GA and Calvin and Lataine Bowen of Nicholls, GA; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Randall Bowen and uncle, Scott Cato.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Chatterton Church Cemetery.
