Mr. Charlie Hilliard Wooten, age 72, of Broxton, GA passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX following an extended illness. Mr. Wooten was born January 10, 1944 in Broxton, GA to the late Tom Jackson Wooten and the late Lavader Cross Hilliard Wooten.

Survivors include His wife: Sharon Spivey Wooten of Broxton, GA; three sons: Tim (Alicia) Wooten of Ambrose, GA; Charlie Mac Wooten and Waylon Wooten both of Broxton, GA; one daughter: Phaedra Wooten (Forrest) Andrews of Broxton, GA; Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister: Jessie Mae Vickers of Ambrose, GA; one brother: Carl Wooten of Broxton, GA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wooten was preceded in death by sister. Lillian W. Bryan and three brothers: Leon Wooten, Joe Wooten and Tom Wooten, Jr.

In lieu of flowers MEMORIALS may be made to RED CROSS, SALVATION ARMY and/or THE GIDEONS INTERNATIONAL.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 Pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Broxton Church of God with the Rev. Patrick Wooten, Rev. Allen Peacock and Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Interment will follow at Wooten Family Cemetery, Broxton, GA.

Sims Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
