Satilla Regional Library held its Teen Advisory Kick-Off Party on Saturday, January 16, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library.

To start off the party, “The Name Game” was played to get to know everyone’s names. Everyone wrote their names on an index card and had it taped to their back. A specific amount of time was given for the teens to find out as many names as possible. The winner received a Subway gift certificate. There was also music, various games like UNO, Scrabble, Cranium, Apples to Apples, and teen crafts including making dream boards of goals. The teens learned more about the Teen Advisory Group, what it’s all about, and upcoming Teen Advisory Group meetings, events and times. There was also a raffle drawing for Subway gift certificates. Refreshments were served. All teens had a great time!

Teen Advisory Group meetings will be held in January and February on Saturday, January 30, February 13 and 27 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the large meeting room in Douglas. Teen Movie Night will be held Monday, February 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Douglas.

If you have any questions about teen programming, please contact Julie Macomber, Children’s and Young Adult Librarian, at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222.
