Mrs. Vonice Jean Cardenas, age 70, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 in University Florida Health Center, Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mrs. Cardenas was born April 29, 1945 to the late Cornealious Samuel Hursey and Edith Talu Bryant Hursey.
Survivors include: Husband, Felix Badillo of Douglas, GA; two sisters: Jackie Ann Cartee of Douglas, GA and Florence Stapleton of Jackson, SC, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 24,2016 from 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Services will be held Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating. Internment will follow at Tanner Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
