Sheriff’s authorities issued the following press release Monday morning regarding the recent arrests of a wanted probationer and another individual on multiple charges:

“On January 20, 2016, at approximately 10:57 a.m., deputies from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office went to 153 Chester Williams Rd. to serve an arrest warrant for a probation violation on Zachery Ryan White.

Upon the deputies’ arrival, they witnessed a white Lincoln Town Car pull behind the residence.  When the deputies went behind the residence to look for White, a male subject ran through a wooded area.  As one of the deputies was in pursuit of the fleeing subject, another male subject jumped in the car and drove off.

The other deputy got into his patrol vehicle and pursued the fleeing subject.  The suspect that ran through the wooded area was apprehended a short time later and identified as Robert Jason Anderson.  Lying on the ground in the area from which Anderson ran were two packages of methamphetamine, weighing approximately .4 grams.

Anderson was arrested for obstructiing or hindering a law enforcement officer and possession of methamphetamine.  The subject that ran from the deputies in the vehicle was apprehended on Ga. Hwy 32 East close to Shady Pines Mobile Home Park after about a 10 mile chase.  The subject was identified as Zachary Ryan White.  White was arrested for the probation violation, felony fleeing and attempting to elude police officers, and multiple traffic citations.

‘I would like to thank the deputies and detectives as they continue to work hard to get the drugs off our streets,’ Sheriff Doyle Wooten stated.”
