Emory J. Knight, age 68, of Broxton, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Knight was born on February 15, 1947, in Douglas, GA to Tempa Harper Knight and the late Jesse Monroe Knight.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Jean Jewell Knight of Broxton, GA; two daughters, Maggie (Clint) Winters of Broxton, GA and Tracey (Tony) Roberson of Broxton, GA; son, Stephen (Kandi) Knight of Broxton, GA; mother, Tempa Knight of Broxton, GA; two brothers, Joel Knight of Defuniak Springs, FL and Marvin Knight of Douglas, GA; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Knight.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Broxton Church of God with Rev. Milton Pate and Rev. David Bowen officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
