Mary Ellen Kirkland, age 79, of Douglas, GA passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Kirkland was born August 5,1936, in Savannah, GA to the late Ottis Isaac Greenway and the late Wilma Audrey Sims Greenway.
Survivors include: her two sons: Fred Kirkland of Douglas, GA; and Moshe Kirkland of Midville, GA; one daughter: Lynn Williams of Douglas, GA; three grandchikldren : Marry Curry, Tony Leedom and Kristina Everhart and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Services will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2 :00 PM, at St Andrews Episcopal Church with Father Gray Abbott officiating.
Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.
