The City of Douglas Water/Wastewater Department would like the public/citizens to be aware of possible surcharging of manholes due to recent heavy rainfalls.

There has  been a closure of the 400 block of West Gordon from College Ave to Daughtry Ave until further notice due to a manhole surcharging at this location.  The Coffee County 911 Center has been notified of this closure so emergency vehicles will not have any problems accessing any residential property.

Please notify the Water/Wastewater Department at 912-389-3425 or 311 if any  manholes are seen surcharging so crews can safely address these issues.
