Leon Roberts, age 79, of Douglas, GA passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Roberts was born on December 28, 1936, in Nicholls, GA to the late Walter Roberts and Ethel Gilliard Roberts.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Darlene Roberts of Douglas, GA; daughter, Marsha (Edward) Roepe of Dunwoody, GA; son, Jerome (Nan) Roberts of Tifton, GA; two stepsons, Fritz (Sherri) Alletag of Birmingham, AL and Stephen (Shelly) Alletag of McCall, ID; brother, Billy (Fern) Roberts of Dublin, GA; four grandchildren, Lindsey Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Lauren Roberts and Brent Roepe; five step grandchildren, Brittney Norton, Morgan Alletag, Andy Saleen, Stevee Alletag and Cody Alletag; two great-great grandchildren, Jadon Alletag and Noah Alletag; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. John Carver officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to Men of Acts at First Baptist Church.
