Douglas police have obtained arrest warrants on 30-year-old Brandon Levi Williams following a shooting Friday that claimed the life of 22-year-old Kavozia Walker. Williams is on the run, and authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout.

Douglas police officers responded Friday to a call of gunshots fired at 120 Mcneal Dr. They learned Walker had suffered a gunshot wound and had been transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Williams faces charges of  malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Police say he fled the crime scene with the firearm and is presumed to be armed at this time. He has known connections to Coffee, Telfair, and Atkinson Counties.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact 911 or the Douglas Police Dept. at (912) 384-2222.
