Alma police are searching for a suspect they say lead officers on a high-speed chase over the weekend.

The Alma Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle Saturday for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to stop, leading officers on a chase through the east and south areas of Alma. As the chase turned onto Stock Market Rd., assisting Bacon County Sheriff’s Office deputies observed a child’s car seat in the back of the vehicle and terminated the pursuit. Authoriites state the driver has been identified as Jared Prez Robinson (27) of Alma.

APD has secured arrest warrants for Robinson for felony fleeing and aggravated assault after Robinson attempted to strike a BCSO vehicle. Robinson will additionally be charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, reckless driving, no license plate, disregard for a traffic light, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, six counts of speeding, and seven counts of disregard for a stop sign.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Robinson is asked to call Bacon County 911.
