George Earl Harrell, age 63, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Harrell was born on January 28, 1953, in Douglas, GA to Nadavah Davis Harrell and the late Tom Harrell.
Survivors include: his beloved companion, Teresa McSwain; mother, Nadavah Harrell; five daughters, Kristel (Rex) Taylor, Loy (Terry) McLendon, Joy Taft, Rebecca (Jason) Sapp and Christie (Jesse) Roberts; three sons, Christopher (Janet) Harrell, Jason (Amanda) McSwain and David (Jessica) McSwain; two sisters, Diane (Vernon) Miller and Tommaline (Robert) Jones; twenty-one grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Harrell.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Gardner and Rev. Mitchell Deems officiating. Interment will follow at Carver Baptist Church Cemetery.
