Louise Kersey, age 92, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Oxton Place following an extended illness. Mrs. Kersey was born on July 29, 1923, in Stillmore, GA to the late Ged Fleming Hill and Martha Cornelia Hill.

Survivors include: her daughter, Deborah Parker of Douglas, GA; son, Gerald (Elizabeth) Claxton of Savannah, GA; three grandsons, Michael Claxton of Savannah, GA, Gregory Claxton of Canton, GA and Christopher Yaughn of Douglas, GA; two granddaughters, Sherrie Schaff of McDonough, GA and Kaci Hutchison of Douglas, GA; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6:00 TO 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at College Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at Old Canoochee Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
