Satilla library abounds with youth activities this March

Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of March for children and teens. Come and join the fun at Satilla Regional Library!

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years of age!

Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio! Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the year. Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations. A permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian before auditioning if under 18 and given to Miss Julie before auditioning. Permission slips are available at each branch location or by going online to:  http://www.srlsys.org/NEW_Audio_Permission_Slip.pdf.

Board Games, Cards, and Puzzles for Children and Teens

All branches include an assortment of board games, cards, and puzzles that can be played at any time. Come and check one out to use at each location.

Broxton: Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.
Ambrose: Tuesdays at 4:45 p.m.
Pearson: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m.
Nicholls: Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.

Kids Choice Movies

Willacoochee: Saturday, March 5 and 19 at 12:30 p.m.
Pearson: Friday, March 18, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 12:30 p.m.
Come and join the fun and vote on a movie to watch, popcorn and beverages will be served.

Broxton: Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Pearson: Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Friday, March 25, 2016 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

TEEN EVENTS

Pearson Teen Advisory Kick-Off Party

Join other teens as we kick-off the Pearson Teen Advisory Group. Come see what teen advisory is all about. Food! Games! Dancing! Crafts! Fun for teens!
When: Monday, March 14, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Pearson Public Library in the
Multi-Purpose Room.

Douglas and Pearson Teen Advisory Groups

Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to have a  great time with their peers planning young adult programs, helping order young adult books for the library’s collection, and planning fun activities for teens in 2016. Earn volunteer hours for participating in the Teen Advisory Group. Refreshments will be served.

Douglas: Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room at the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library.
Pearson: Monday, March 28, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Pearson Public Library.

Willacoochee: Thursday, March 17 and 31 at 4:30 p.m.
Vote for a teen movie to watch, popcorn and beverages will be served.
