Jessie Charles Brown, age 70, of Nahunta, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Mr. Brown was born on September 27, 1945, in Douglas, GA to the late Frederick Joshua Brown and Laura Smith Brown.

Survivors include: his daughter: Cylinda Brown (Phil) Price of Nahunta, GA, son: Jessie Charles (Amanda) Brown, III of Nahunta, GA; three grandchildren: Kory Price, Dustin Price, and Bailey Lynn Brown; two brothers, Hansel (Audrey) Brown of Douglas, GA and Paul Brown of Douglas, GA; two sisters, Katherine Rohn of Douglas, GA and Patricia McKinnon of , FL; four sisters-in-law, Sharon (Hugh) Johns of Jacksonville, FL, Vera Hayes of Jacksonville, FL, Lynette Brown of Douglas, GA and Dorothy Brown of Fitzgerald, GA; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McMillen and Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
