Wynona Sarah Davis, age 75, of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at South Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on December 15, 1940, in Cartersville, GA to the late Robert McConnell and Carrie Hughes Davis McConnell.

Survivors include: her two brothers, Troy (Joyce) McConnell of Valdosta, GA and Eugene (Ina) McConnell of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Chauncey of Douglas, GA, April Davis of Douglas, GA, Elijah Davis of Norton, VA and Gabriel Davis of Norton, VA; several nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Davis, son, Clyde Dewayne Davis and a daughter, Peggy Hawks.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Davis and Rev. Thelma Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
