Satilla library system announces April children/teen events

Satilla Regional Library will be holding the following programs during the month of April for children and teens. Come and join the fun at Satilla Regional Library!

Audio Spot Auditions for Children and Teens Ages 9-18 years of age

Come and audition for a public service announcement to possibly be played on the radio. Auditions will be held at all locations in Douglas, Broxton, Ambrose, Pearson, Willacoochee, and Nicholls throughout the year. Please call Miss Julie at (912) 384-4667 ext. 222 to schedule an appointment at any of our locations. A permission slip must be signed by a parent/guardian before auditioning if under 18 and given to Miss Julie before auditioning. Board Games, Cards, and Puzzles for Children and Teens

All branches include an assortment of board games, cards, and puzzles that can be played at any time. Come and check one out to use at each location.

Broxton: Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.
Ambrose: Tuesdays at 4:45 p.m.
Pearson: Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Nicholls: Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.

TEEN EVENTS

NEW! Pearson Teen Advisory Group Meetings
Please come and join the fun as teens meet together to have a  great time with their peers planning young adult programs, helping order young adult books for the library’s collection, and planning fun activities for teens in 2016. Fun activities for teens. Earn volunteer hours for participating in Teen Advisory Group. Refreshments will be served.
Dates: Monday, April 11 and 25 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Pearson Public Library.

Teen Video Game Extravaganza Party in Douglas!
Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room in Douglas
Join other teens as the Douglas/Coffee County Public Library as we play various games: video games, board games, card games, and more. Have a great time with other teens. Bring your own handheld or gaming system and prepare for the fun.

Teen Choice Movies
Pearson: Friday, April 1 and 29 at 4:30 p.m.
Willacoochee: Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
Vote for a teen movie to watch. Popcorn and beverages will be served.
