The Coffee County 4-H Shotgun Team had five members to compete on March 19 at the State Sporting Clays Invitational. The Invitational was held at Ocmulgee River Gun Club in Macon.
Jordan Davis placed 1st and won the State Invitational by scoring a 97 out of 100 targets in the Senior Division. First year shooter Cliff Ellis placed 3rd in the Junior Division.
Other members of the team who competed were Barron Thomas (Sr.), Timmy Rewis (Sr.), and Slade Smith (Jr.).
The Sporting Clays Invitational is a 100 target event and is open to any eligible 4-H’er registered as a member of a county Project S.A.F.E. program.
