A Douglas man wanted on two outstanding warrants was jailed on multiple charges Sunday following a traffic stop that also yielded a quantity of methamphetamine.
A Coffee County Sheriff’s Office deputy was assisted by the Douglas –Coffee Drug Unit on a traffic stop of a dirt bike that occurred on Ramblewood Road in the Green Acres community. The driver, identified as Adam Jerrell Morris, was stopped for no helmet, no tag light, registration requirements, and open container.
Authorities stated Morris was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and gave deputies a false name because he had two outstanding warrants on him.
Morris was arrested at the scene and charged with several traffic citations and one count of possession of methamphetamine. He is also being held on the two outstanding warrants.
