Douglas entrepreneur and inventor Paul Pow was recently award $10 thousand on national television to promote his company, Pow HiSo, and his 3D emoji jewelry. Pow appeared on The Steve Harvey Show in a segment entitled The Next Big Success.
In a post to his personal Facebook page, Pow wrote, “I want to thank everyone for their amazing support and heartwarming messages. Today has been an awesome day. When I first started this project, I was very hesitant. That voice inside my head (we all have one) telling me things like: “nobody would wear that”, “you know nothing about jewelry manufacturing”, “stick to your day job” held me from launching the idea for a few months. I have to admit, even launching a Kickstarter felt uncomfortable as it felt like I was asking friends for money. But fast forward 8 months later and I was featured on television pitching 3D emoji jewelry (Pow HiSo) to Steve Harvey, Grant Cardone and Amilya Antonetti.
I couldn’t have done this without the support of amazing friends and family – you are all kind, generous, and good people. For those of you wondering what I plan to do with the giant check, the money from the show will allow me to expand this business, acquire more inventory, invest in better equipment, run marketing campaigns, and develop more 3D CAD designs. I don’t plan on spending it all on candy and ice cream.”
