Each year, the Coffee County School System participates in the Young Author’s Writing Competition. Schools submit winners for each grade level, and the overall winners are chosen for the school district.
This year, two of those overall winners were from Indian Creek Elementary School. Abbie Hill, in Mrs. Tammy Bennett’s class, wrote the winning piece for first grade entitled, “The Dream.” Georgia Hamlin, in Mrs. Peggy Luke’s class, composed the winning entry for fourth grade entitled “Long Wait.”
Congratulations to both of these students and their teachers for their hard work. Principal Tamara Morgan and everyone at ICE are proud of you for being a “Flight Above!”
