Gene Edward Cauley, age 77, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2016, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Cauley was born on December 17, 1938, in Douglas, GA to the late Nead Cauley and Ethel Merritt Cauley.
Survivors include: his wife, Nellie Cauley of Ambrose, GA; son, Gene “Buster” Cauley of Ambrose, GA; three sisters, Geneva Carter of Douglas, GA, Geraldine Veal of Ambrose, GA and Garon (Jimmy) Smith of Broxton, GA; two grandsons, Matt (Donna) Cauley of Broxton, GA and Tyler Cauley of Ambrose, GA; two granddaughters, Candi (Brandon) Musgrove of Broxton, GA and Sadie Cauley of Ambrose, GA; five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Cauley.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Harper Cemetery.
