The 12th District Republican Convention was held in Douglas Saturday, April 16, at Coffee Middle School. Georgia Representative Barry Fleming served as chair and U.S. Congressman Rick Allen was the keynote speaker. 

One hundred twenty-two delegates, alternates, and guests from all 19 counties in the 12th District came to Coffee County with the purpose of electing delegates and alternates to the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio July 18-21, 2016. 

Chris Papierz from Coffee County was selected as a delegate to represent the 12th District at the national convention.
