Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Laura Merritt, age 88 , of Ambrose, GA, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Medical Center of Central Georgia, Macon, GA. Mrs. Merritt was born on November 7, 1927, in Willacoochee, GA to the late John Crum Bishop and the late Martha Susan Sewell Bishop.

Survivors include: Daughters Linda Ivey of Rebecca, GA; and Martha (Ralph) Merritt of Wray, GA; two grandsons: Ricky (Latrelle) Ivey and Chris (Misty) Ivey, both of Fitzgerald, GA. five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be helkd Monday, April 25,2016 at 11:00 AM at the Sims Chapel with Rev. Edsel Young and Rev. Wayne Hayes officiating.

Interment will follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
