Westside Elementary students and staff joined forces with DJ Franchize (Brooks Waldron) to get students pepped up for the GMAS test by participating in a special “Rock the Test” Pep Rally. Each grade level dressed in a “rock” time period and showed out!

Students in grades 2-5 attended the pep rally and brought their own spirit.  Grades 3-5 used past GMAS scores to set grade level goals for this year’s test.  These goals were displayed on grade level posters and they performed a chant or song and dance to show their spirit towards rocking this GMAS.  Posters and performances were judged, and winners were rewarded with extra recess passes.

Students were visited by a special visitor, Westy Wildcat, who also rocked a couple of dances for the students. The teachers and administrators ended the pep rally by performing a special song mix to encourage the students on the GMAS.

DJ Franchize ROCKED the house with his special mix of music and kept the students and staff engaged. Thank you, DJ Franchize!
