The City of Douglas Public Works Department held the 2016 Great American Cleanup on Saturday April 16, 2016 to kickoff Georgia Cities Week.
Approximately 30 volunteers helped to cleanup North Madison Avenue Park by collecting litter, trimming bushes, raking and picking up debris, along with cleaning the parking lot and shelter.
After the cleanup, volunteers received Great American Cleanup participation certificates and were treated to a cook-out complete with all the trimmings. Thanks to all the volunteers and everyone who came out and supported this cleanup event in Douglas.
